We purchased a Swivel Straight many years ago when they were new. It has revolutionized our decorating! In fact, although it is for a maximum tree of 10′, we took our chances with a 12′ tree and it was fine despite THREE cats nesting in the branches! It even worked with a 15′ tree although we did tether that one. We take the base to the tree lot and make sure the tree is cut to fit, then we’re all set. Bring it home, stand it up and swivel it straight. It’s that easy. We now have a second one for our other tree and it’s in its fourth year; the first one we’ve had for twelve! I would gladly buy another, but I expect these two to last for a long, long while. I will say that the older stand has a lever system to hold the trunk which is a little cumbersome to set up but holds really well; I do miss that about the newer model that just holds the tree with three screws.
