I got this little book for my cook book-collecting wife. She fell in love with it instantly. Any book that makes her that happy is more than worth it – and not as expensive as jewelry. I didn’t really say that, okay? I think it has quite a few very interesting recipes, many of which are quite simple. We’ll be enjoying dishes year-round.

Did you know there are no plums in plum pudding? And did you know that cherries originated in Cerise, Turkey around the time of Nicolas, born in the year 280? You can learn more about different food ingredients and how certain dishes came to be associated with Christmas, such as fruitcake cookies. This fun and easy to follow cookbook provides history lessons to impress your family and guests. The book provides recipes of dishes used to celebrate Christmas in many parts of the world and many are easy for family cooking time. So you can cook and learn about history at the same time!
