I don't know if it was a connection problem or what, but of the 3 settings, only one of the blinky ones would work and the red lights wouldn't light up. ALL of the necklaces I bought did this (7). I bought one of these for all the women in the family to wear ato ur Christmas get togethers…I had bought one for myself the year before from a Books-a-million…well…they stopped working after one use. The earrings look like Christmas tree bulb lights, and flash. The Twinkling Treasures necklace has a better design feature in having a switch to turn the necklace on and off. However--- finding the batteries was a real Grail Quest. When I finally ran them down, I could only get the at Radio Shack, for about $15.00. This year I decide not to spend the money on batteries, and simply wore the necklace, which is still cute. The necklace kept droppong bulbs. I ended up having to throw it in the trash. It was fun for a season -- I'd like to find a better constructed replacement, which would use more affordable (and easier to find) batteries.
