I have had one of these for well over a month, and have had no problems with it at all. It looks very good by the tree, or by anything you have decorated with the larger c7 bulbs in the house.
The music volume is adjustable so that you can have it very loud, or not hear it at all. That feature is a must in this house.
Santa’s climbing is not as loud as I would have expected, but if you have a smaller house and sensitive ears, you might not want to leave it running over night. The mechanics of it aren’t the only thing you’ll hear…Santa himself is a little clunky as he moves up and down. But again, I stress that these sounds are not nearly as annoying as one might expect, and are very manageable throughout the course of the day. We have ours in the living room, and I can easily hear the tv at normal volume over Santa.
Over all, I would recommend this, especially at Amazon’s price, to anyone really into indoor decorating.
Saw this at a neighbors house and had to have it. It is so cute, the kids love to watch santa climb up and down. Love the Christmas songs it plays (can be a little loud). Makes a nice accent to lean up against your Christmas tree or even put it along side a smaller (4ft) tree and he appears to climb to the top. It is very solid, detailed and looks worth more than the average $40 price tag. A must have Christmas decor item.
